    Investigation in case of making equilibrium curve for leaching of castor oil from its seed have been conducted and ethanol was used as the solvent. Leaching process was done in closed erlenmeyer henceforth shake by using shaker. Temperature and pressure were fixed at room temperature and atmosferic pressure respectively, while time for process is determined based on how long the process take place untill equilibrium attained. The choosen variable in this experiment were purity of solvent and mass ratio of castor seed and solvent. The use of variable was purposed to create some points in the curve and to know the influence or effect of those variable to the yield (amount of oil in overflow). The purity of solvent that used in this experiment are 95%, 92% and 90% while mass ratio of seed and oil are 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4 (gram of seed/gram of solvent). Based on this investigation, the most variable that influence the yield is mass ratio of seed and solvent. The equilibrium curve for the purity of solvent of 90 – 95% (v/v) closed to equation N = -0.151 yA2 + 0.0026 yA + 0.9997 and xA = yA. This curve can be used as reference for leaching process of castor oil from its seed. Key words: equilibrium curve, leaching, castor oil
